The festival is a vibrant four-day annual event consisting of Classes in Vocal, Pianoforte, Instrumental, Traditional and Guitar.

- To promote music.
- To encourage the participation in music of people from all walks of life, all ages, all backgrounds - religious, social and political.
- To promote good cross-community relations through music.
- To encourage young people in particular to enjoy the confidence and self-esteem which partaking in music ensures.
- To collaborate and co-operate with any other body or organisation in promoting the same aims.
